4-Step Process

How to sell your kitchen equipment in Singapore

Selling used commercial kitchen equipment to ibuykitchen takes four straightforward steps: send photos or an equipment list via WhatsApp or our quote form, receive a clear valuation within 24 hours, book a collection window across Singapore (within 1 to 3 working days), and get paid via PayNow, bank transfer, or cash on collection when our crew clears the items.

What details should I send for an accurate quote?

Clear front photos, a shot of each rating plate, honest working condition notes, and your six-digit Singapore postal code let us price your equipment without unnecessary delays.

You do not need a formal spreadsheet to start. Most F&B operators walk through their kitchen and snap a wide photo of each chiller, oven, fryer, coffee machine, or stainless steel table along with a close-up of the manufacturer data plate.

If your outlet is inside a shopping mall, conservation shophouse, or upper-floor industrial unit, let us know whether there is a cargo lift, loading bay height limit, or restricted night-work window.

  • Wide photo of each item plus close-up of the rating/data plate
  • Working condition and whether power/water is still live for testing
  • Singapore 6-digit postal code and floor/lift access details
  • Target lease handover or renovation date

When do we inspect on site vs quote from photos?

Single machines and small lots are usually quoted directly from WhatsApp or form photos, while full restaurant, cafe, or central kitchen clearances are verified with a quick site visit.

We reply to photo submissions within 24 hours. For straightforward items—such as two upright chillers and four stainless prep tables—photos and dimensions are often enough to confirm our offer.

When you are clearing an entire kitchen line, exhaust canopy, or multi-room setup, we arrange a brief on-site walk-through at a time that does not disrupt your service hours so we can confirm dismantling access and lorry load count.

What equipment do we not buy?

We focus on movable commercial kitchen equipment and stainless steel fabrication; we do not buy disposable smallwares, broken crockery, or equipment with outstanding hire-purchase finance.

For non-working or faulty machinery, our policy is: No; we buy working commercial equipment only. For residential items, our policy is: We prefer commercial kitchen equipment; residential appliances assessed on request.

We cannot purchase equipment that is under an active lease, rental contract (such as rented dishwasher chemical pumps or coffee machines owned by a roaster), or unpaid financing unless the legal owner releases it in writing.

How do removal and payment work on collection day?

Our crew arrives during the agreed window (within 1 to 3 working days), handles dismantling according to our policy (Yes, dismantling and removal are free), and completes payment via PayNow, bank transfer, or cash on collection.

Before collection day, ensure gas lines and hardwired three-phase circuits are safely isolated by a licensed technician, and empty all food stock, cooking oil, and ice from the machines.

Our team protects lift lobbies and corridors required by building management, loads the agreed items onto our lorry, and settles payment as agreed in writing.

Pre-collection preparation checklist

  • Confirm you are the legal owner of every item being sold (no active lease or finance).
  • Empty all food stock, gastronorm trays, and loose consumables from chillers and cabinets.
  • Defrost and wipe dry all freezers at least 12 to 24 hours before pickup.
  • Drain cooking oil from deep fryers completely once cool.
  • Have a licensed technician cap gas lines and isolate hardwired electrical connections.
  • Book loading bay and service lift access with your building management if required.

Questions about how it works

Direct answers to common questions from restaurant, cafe and central kitchen owners in Singapore.

Can I sell just one commercial chiller or oven, or only a full kitchen?

You can sell either a single commercial unit or an entire F&B kitchen lot. Send photos of what you have and we will let you know our offer and collection schedule.

How far in advance should I contact you before my lease ends?

Two to four weeks before your lease handover date is ideal, especially if your building management requires advance deposits or permit forms for lorry access. If your deadline is urgent, message us on WhatsApp and we will check our nearest slot.

What can change the offer on collection day?

The offer is based on the photos, condition notes, and access details you share. Tell us about faults, missing parts, or access limits upfront so the quote reflects the real job.
